DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILD UP TO ONE YEAR
Development of the child up to one year is incredibly intense; it increases its weight by three times and grows by 20-25 cm. From a constantly sleeping baby it is transformed into a man, cognizing the world around them. Every month for a baby is a long and significant period in which it acquires more and more new skills. Development of the child up to one year is a two-way process. Motor activity entails normal mental development. It is directly related to the improvement of sense organs, sight, hearing, which in turn has a profound effect on the mental development and the formation of human character. At the same time, a good mental development determines the harmonious development of the motor functions of toddler.
In the first year of life, physiological processes are regulated at the level of the reflex. If something goes wrong, the child immediately notifies you about it with weeping. In turn, the motor and mental development of the child is very much dependent on its surrounding. If your child is not receiving attention, there is no contact with the mother — then the baby’s mental development slows down. If its motion is limited for a long time, it may entail a lag in the physical development as well.
During infancy, it is traditional to distinguish this by quarters: 3, 6, 9 and 12 months.
